Mutual Coupling Analysis Using Fdtd for Di- Electric Resonator Antenna Reflectarray Radiation Prediction

چکیده
A simulation technique based on Finite-Difference TimeDomain (FDTD) is used to analyze mutual coupling effects in reflectarray environment. The neighbouring element method has the ability to analyze actual non-identical reflectarray unit-cell accurately compared to the traditional Floquet simulation which assumes all unitcell is identical. It is also found that the nearest neighbouring unit-cell located in E-plane has a larger mutual coupling effects compared to the neighbouring unit-cell in H-plane. A good agreement is shown between simulation and measurement results. This technique presents a new prediction method for the radiation pattern of reflectarray antenna.

Novel Element For Bnadwidth Improvement Of The Reflectarray Antenna
In this paper novel reflectarray antenna elements are proposed using aperture-coupled dielectric resonator antenna structures. Using these new structures, wide phase range and wide frequency bandwidth (up to 28.5%) with parallel and linear phase curves are obtained. In each case, an array consisting of 289 elements was simulated using the finite integration technique (FIT). The arrays exhibit 3...

In this paper a novel method for computing the radiation pattern and also the input impedance of a planar rectangular micro-strip antenna array with consideration of mutual coupling and mutual impedance is presented. Each two triangles with a common edge make an Edge element or RWG. Any such edge element is considered as an infinitesimal dipole. The electrical currents over each dipole can be c...

Abstract—In this paper, reflectarrays mounted on or embedded in cylindrical and spherical surfaces are designed, analyzed, and simulated at 11.5GHz for satellite applications. A unit cell consists of a square dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) mounted on or embedded in metallic conformal ground plane is investigated. The radiation characteristics of the designed reflectarrays are investigated a...

Abstract—A comparative study using numerical models on the mutual coupling (MC) between two different heterogeneous beam steering dielectric resonator antennas (DRAs) and an omni-directional dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is presented in this paper. The mutual coupling was investigated by varying the separation between the antennas and manipulating the far field radiation pattern of each an...

In recent years reflectarray antennas have received considerable attention due to their unique capabilities.
